Nuvo H2O Complete Water Softening System Review

Nuvo-H2O

NuvoH20 is a leading salt-free water softener system. Since the unit runs without salt, you’re certainly going to save a major amount of money on hard water treatment. Salt-free water softening systems aren’t actually water softeners. Rather, its area of specialization is prevention from limescale build-up. Limescale and soap scum can be a huge threat to you house’s plumbing system. Scale formation increases the risk to corrosion and damage. Hard water spots on ceramic fittings look unsightly. Moreover, showering with hard water can be nauseating because you need to use a lot of soap to “feel” cleansed.

The Science Behind NuvoH2O

No-salt water softening appliances are primarily used for descaling. Template Assisted Crystallization (TAC) is the method these machines use for hard mineral ions formation. Crystallization bars the minerals from clinging onto the pipes. Don’t expect 100% removal of hard mineral ions from A NuvoH2O model. The purchase is solely recommended for water descaling.

The NuvoH20 unit has an ergonomically sound and compact construction that make it highly suitable for condos and small apartment owners. You can effortlessly fit it into tight places. Softening water without salt is not actually called water softening. What a salt-free system like NuvoH2O does is water conditioning. Instead of salt or sodium or electricity or magnetic field, it uses citric acid to balance the pH level of the water and deal with scale build-up. The mechanism NuvoH2O engineers called the chelation process.

Hard minerals are made soluble by FDA approved food based chelating agent Citrine. It binds the mineral ions together, preventing them from transforming into crusty deposits around the internal area of the pipe or plumbing fixtures. NuvoH2O has the stellar capacity of 60000 gallons, ideal for homes with 6 or more people. Through the chelation process, the final outcome is soft, clean and fresh water which is perfect for both housekeeping and consumption purposes.

Product Review

Keeping in view the increasing demand of salt-free water softeners, NuvoH20 has rolled up 3 different models to suit the requirement of a different consumer group. Despite the relentless apprehensive approach of some critics about the mechanism of NuvoH20, it has proved to be a value for money deal in my testing. Choose your model depending on the size of your house. Read my unbiased review of all the 3 models of NuvoH20 and decide for yourself.

NuvoH2O Studio System

NuvoH2O Studio System is best suited for homes with near about 1000 square feet of space. It can produce healthy and great tasting water. The chelation process helps to maintain the pH level of the water. A notable fact about this system is that the water retains its natural minerals in ideal proportions after the conditioning process. The unit runs on a 12 GPM with 1-inch ports to ensure consistency of the existing drop pressure while running any appliance. It can effectively treat 25000 gallons of water. In the package, you’ll get 10-inch salt-free replacement cartridges. House owners with serious health issues better give salt-based systems a skip as the soft water contains a good amount of sodium.

NuvoH2O Manor System

The machine measures 8 x 29 inches. Perfect choice for households with 2100 square footage space. Installing the device without any prior knowledge to plumbing work is like a walk in the park. Coming to the features, NuvoH2O Manor system houses a 15-18 GPM water flow rate with 1.5-inch ports, bringing no change to the existing water flow. The WH42416C salt-free replacement cartridges effectively remove debilitating scale from the pipes and also eliminates the task of refilling the brine tank with salt time to time.

NuvoH2O Home System

The 12-15 GPM water flow rate engineered by the unit stabilizes the water flow from the water-based systems. With a 500000 gallon capacity, it’s capable of operating 2000 square feet household areas. This model of NuvoH2O offers 20-inch cartridges to curb the damaging effects of limescale. For those who care for the environment, this is a complete eco-friendly hard water solution. The slim design and lightweight of the equipment make it easy to carry and install. An installation manual is provided in the package to guide you through the process.

Ups

  • Compact design fits easily in the tightest places.
  • DIY installation.
  • The built-in bypass in the unit makes salt-free cartridge replacement a breeze.
  • Works without salt or electricity, saving both money and energy.
  • Three different capacity models to choose from.
  • Lifetime warranty.

Downs

  • Not suitable for extremely hard water.
  • The cartridges require replacement in every 3 to 6 months depending on the hardness level of the water.

The Bottom Line

This product line-up from Nuvo appears very promising. If you desperately need to combat limescale problem, NuvoH2O is exactly what you might be looking for. The initial cost of the device might seem like an obstacle yet it’s definitely going to be worth every bit of it in the long run. I hope that my review has cleared all your queries and confusions regarding the product.
